On the outside, this post looks like it received little to average engagement. But after looking a little closer, this post garnered eight profile visits and four website clicks, and also reached more accounts than the number of accounts following you at the time (322). This post was also seen by 36% of accounts that were not already following you. This and other ‘Stories of Hope’ posts show us that users are highly interested in learning more about others stories and are apt to clickthrough to the website right away vs. saving the story for later, nearly more than any other post type. All of the ‘Stories of Hope’ post series also feature a striking post hook unique to the user story, prompting users to read more and stay on the post longer.

The Miscarriage Hope Desk article series reviewed by the Advisory Board serves as a topic of high interest to the MHD community. This particular posts garnered three saves, 18 profile visits and nine website clicks. This particular article was shared as a ‘story’ and received a reply as well. Nearly 800 accounts were reached, with nearly 40% of the accounts not already following you. This post also received 11 comments altogether, and acknowledgement from two users who related directly to the post subject. This is a great post example of the fact that the number of Instagram ‘likes’ do not always determine the success of a post, and there is always more to be seen behind the scenes.

This was the 7th post we ran on the account, and because the results were so fantastic, we reposted it later on again. At this point, the account had less than 300 followers. This post reached 548 accounts, with nearly 70% of them not already following you. It received seven direct profile visits, and five website clicks, plus a follow that was a direct result of the post and comments from women interested in the topic. Extra bonus? Featuring branded content on the profile familiarizes users with your branding, your mission at Miscarriage Hope Desk, and how it all relates to your personal story.

This particular quote is thought provoking and unique- certainly striking a chord with your community and beyond. The timing for which this post was placed in the feed was particularly important, and was in part responsible for the reach it received. This quote was shared more than 80 times and saved by 75 accounts. This post reached more than 2,000 accounts, received nearly 2,200 impressions, and brought 18 new followers- as a direct result- to your user base. While you received a large number of profile visits, the direct call to action for this post was to follow along as you kicked off your October plans to share invaluable resources with your audience for the month.

This unique post serves as the post for Miscarriage Hope Desk that, so far, has reached the highest number of accounts and has seen the highest number of impressions. The purpose of this post was layered- to share the work of someone in the Pregnancy Loss space, to share your page with different audiences, and to share insight on your personal story. You’ll notice that nearly 80% of the accounts reached were not already following you and you received 13 followers as a direct result of this share. This post garnered six website clicks, with a direct call to action for your ‘Moving Forward Program.’ This post reached nearly 3,500 accounts and has prompted us to continue to share meaningful art with users.

Sharing introductions throughout the feed and a view into your personal story is key for users to be able to closely connect with the content you’re sharing and the reason why Miscarriage Hope Desk was founded. The fact that your journey includes loss, trauma, and experiences that your user base relates to, gives your program and brand content all the more credibility. This post reached nearly 500 accounts, and more than half of them were not already following you. Posts that feature your story and pictures of you also seem to garner a high number of comments, in direct relation to users connecting to your story in their own fertility journey. Sprinkling in posts with pictures of the person behind the account and the story you share is key.

PLANS + RECOMMENDATIONS

STORIES OF HOPE: We’d like to set up posts with a specific call to action for users to share their story, connecting a link in the smart.bio directly to a Google Form that users can fill out. The more we can bring awareness to stories from women of all different walks of life with unique happy endings, the more relatable content we’ll have to share that can help women in a dark place see that there is hope. We’d like to start by reaching out to some of the women who already participated in the October account features.
QUOTE POSTS: The purpose of quote posts is to increase the accounts algorithm. As we continue to share quotes and learn more about what users directly relate to, we’ll be sure to share strategic content in the following posts knowing that these posts will naturally be shown to more accounts.
ACCOUNT FEATURES: We’ll continue to mix in account features and powerful resources for users in the months to come. This is great for reaching the audience of users in a similar space, as well as sharing impactful resources for your audience.
